Berry Good Smoothie

Ever crave a bowl of ice cream at night, but you know that sugar is going to sabotage your weight loss goals? I've got a great treat to share that won't trip up your good intentions and is actually healthy for you! It's a berry smoothie. Easy and quick to make, I think they taste just like a milk shake! I often make this smoothie for a mid-day snack or meal, too, because it's complete in itself - it's got the protein, complex carbs, and a little fat that keep your blood sugar stable. And remember, you want to keep your blood sugar level from spiking, so you don't release a bunch of insulin into your bloodstream. That helps you burn what you eat, rather than store what you eat!


Berry Good Smoothie

1/2 cup of your favorite frozen berries
1/2 banana
1/4 PLAIN, unsweetened low fat yogurt
1 cup low fat milk, or soy milk, or any milk
1 scoop protein powder - whey, soy, hemp, vegetable, any protein
6 or more ice cubes
Stevia to taste
Vanilla to taste

Blend in your blender and enjoy!
